Salagdoong Beach, Siquijor Island

Beach lovers will find the Siquijor Island an unforgettable place to stay. Located in the Philippines, Siquijor Island used to be called the Island of Fire and it originally formed part of Negros Oriental.

Siquijor beaches have white sand and enormous coral reefs, making this island a popular travel destination among both locals and tourists. Indeed, it is not only an island for people who love to swim, but this island is also ideal for those who are interested in scuba diving and snorkeling.

Furthermore, tourists will also be enthralled by the wonderful white rock formations as well as the six caves seen in this island. We believe that tourists will find their stay in Siquijor worthwhile. And to make it even more worthwhile, tourists are recommended to try staying at the Salagdoong Beach Resort.

The Salagdoong Beach Resort offers package tours around the historical spots of Siquijor. These historical spots include convents, cathedrals, a century old house, the Kambugahay Falls, and the Mount Bandilaan Butterfly Sanctuary.

Although some who have already stayed in this resort say that there is nothing fancy about the Salagddong Beach Resort as it offers services not different from other resorts in Siquifor, tourists who want to have privacy during their vacation will nevertheless enjoy their stay there. The fact that it is located in a cove and that a view of the shore is seen from the resort makes the tourists’ stay very peaceful and relaxing.

The rooms at the Salagdoong Beach Resort have air conditioning. Each has its own toilet and bath. The management also allows their guests to sleep in tents to allow them to experience doing different activities while staying at the resort. The tents can be rented for only PHP300 per night.

The Salagdoong Beach Resort also has a restaurant where guests can dine in until 12 in the evening. Traditional Filipino dishes as well as several international dishes are served at this restaurant.

During their stay at the Salagdoong Beach Resort, tourists may even hear some locals sharing stories and talking about folk legends, such as the existence of witches and witchcraft in Siquijor. Such folk legends actually make the island even more interesting as they add more magic and mystery to the island.

The Salagdoong Beach Resort may not offer first class accommodation but its amenities and services are satisfying. Besides, the different activities that guests can do at the beach are more than enough to make their stay unforgettable.

There are three vantage points in the Visayas region where Siquijor can be reached from, including Cebu, Bohol and Dumaguete.

The Salagdoong Beach Resort is one of the resorts that the Siquijor Island boasts of. Guests are guaranteed to enjoy their stay at this resort as it offers package tours and other aquatic activities that will make their stay worthwhile.
