Less than 11 kilometers away from the city proper and located along the Roxas Mountain Range, Sitio Siok in Barangay Mabini where the 40-ft high Siok Falls can be found is now the newest eco-tourism destination and river trekking site in Koronadal and in the province of South Cotabato.
The river trekking adventure site was formally launched last Tuesday October 2, 2012 attended by city officials and employees headed by Mayor Peter Miguel, the land owners in Sitio Siok (pronounced si-ohk), members of the media and some nature enthusiasts and adventure tourists. Take a look at some of the pictures as South Cotabato News joined the river trekking adventure and the launching of Siok Falls as an eco-tourism site in the City of Koronadal.
A tricycle or habal-habal route bound for Sitio Siok coming from the city proper will soon be implemented by the city LGU. By now, dropping by at the tourism office at the New Koronadal City Hall is advised for those interested in experiencing the river trekking adventure to Siok Falls.
