One of the main attractions of Camiguin aside from White Island is Ardent Hot Spring. It is situated 6 kilometers southwest of Mambajao specifically in Esperanza Tagdo, Mambajao, Camiguin in the Philippines. This is also considered as the most popular hot spring in the island. It is a natural pool of about 39 °C coming from the bowels of Mt. Hibok-Hibok.
Before, Ardent Hot Spring used to be a four-tiered pool of varying depth and warmth with the hottest one located on the top. But because of the increasing number of tourist, they added two smaller pools. Also, because of the recent earthquake that struck the island, the hot water coming from Mt. Hibok-Hibok has moved to a different location. The management had to change the route and the pool with the hottest temperature is now located in the bottom part.
Ardent Hot Spring has a beautiful landscape with natural stone formation, shrubs and decorative plants. There are cottages, restaurants, coffee shops and dormitory facilities provided for both local and foreign tourists. There are also picnic huts, cook-out facilities and restrooms provided for day trippers. Other amenities such table tennis and dart are also available in the resort.
The best time for swimming at Ardent Hot Spring is early in the morning and late afternoon. And because of the hot temperature of its pool, the suggested length of bathing should not be more than 20 minutes.
Dipping in the hot waters of Ardent Hot Spring is a best treatment for any therapeutic ailments since the water contains sulphur which is said to be a medicinal element that may cure some ailments. Some says it alleviates joint and muscle pains and keeps the blood circulation.
Ardent Hot Spring is a government-owned recreational and leisure facility run by the municipal government of Mambajao since 1999. The Provincial Government and the Department of Tourism envision the resort as a health spa complex where physical fitness and other health care management services will be offered to clients in the future.
Entrance fee at Ardent Hot Spring is 30 pesos for adult and 15 pesos for children. They also allow overnight camping at 125 pesos per head and their barbeque grill rental is 20 pesos. The following are cottage rentals and accommodation rates.

The pool at Ardent Hot Spring opens daily at 6:00 in the morning until 10:00 in the evening including holidays. The pool cleaning is every Wednesday from 6:00 am to 12:00 nn. Swimmers are encouraged to wear the proper swimming attire.
