Mambukal Mountain Resort


Are you an adventurous nature-lover? Mambukal Mountain Resort is the place for you!


Located in Barangay Minoyan, it is one of the most attractive and breathtaking resorts in Murcia, Negros Occidental. The Mambukal Resort lies 1,200 feet above sea level with over 23.6 hectares land area. It serves as a gateway to Mount Kanlaon.


With numerous beautiful natural resources, Mambukal is famous for its sulfuric hot spring and beautiful cascading falls (seven in total). Mambukal is also known for its green forests and rock formations. It is abundant with tropical plants, different types of trees, variety of pines, ferns and orchids that thrive in low-temperature environment.


A bath house with spa is supplied with hot and cold water coming from the mountain springs. Known for its therapeutic treatment, elders and people suffering from physical fatigue visit Mambukal's bath house to relax and relieve stress.


Filling up the swimming pools and boating lagoon is a huge mountain stream that flows down in a series of seven falls.


For great nature encounter, try the canopy walk with its hanging bridges. A rock climbing wall and a "slide for life" is also available to challenge yourself.

How to Get There:

From Manila, you can fly to Bacolod (Php2500++, round trip, 45 minutes). From Bacolod-Silay Airport, you can take a shuttle (Php75-100 per head), or a cab (minimum Php400) going to Bacolod City.

You can also go to Bacolod via ferry (estimated cost of Php2700++ with meal, round trip, 20-22 hours) from Manila.

Buses, taxis, jeepneys and tricycles are the main mode of transport within the city. Murcia is only a twenty-minute drive by private car from Bacolod city. Going to Murcia, public utility vehicles plying this route can reach the municipality in about 30-40 minutes.

What to Expect:

Entrance fee for adults is Php30 per head and 11 years down is Php10 each. Private/light vehicle is Php15 while bus/ truck are Php30 with parking.

Mambukal have several swimming pools: kiddie/adult pool, Mambo Pool and Dipping Pool. Pool fee for adults is Php50 per head and for children 11 years old and below is Php20 each.

Picnic huts ranges from Php300 to Php600 for day-trippers. Accommodation facilities are also available for those who wish to go overnight. LGU cottages (Php900-Php1500), Family cottages (Php4000, 2 bedrooms with living room, dining room and kitchen), Tourist lodges (Php600-Php1000), dormitory (Php2000 for exclusive use) and a camping site/area where you
 can pitch your tent (Php30 per person). Check-in time is 2pm and check out is 12noon.

Aside from taking a dip in Mambukal's therapeutic pool, you can also get in touch with nature through other activities available in the resort. They have wall climbing (Php25), slide for life (Php100 for 2 trips), canopy walk (Php50), boating (Php30/person) at the lagoon and visit their butterfly garden (Php20/person).


You can also hold training or seminars in their conference hall, catering services are also available.
