Kontiki Divers, Mactan Island
Kontiki is situated on the same reef as, and in between the other sites of Tambuli to the north, and Agus to the south. For this reason, Tambuli shares many of the same features as those two sites- great macro diving, the steeply-sloped walls, daily drift diving, and common encounters with animals such as frogfish, anemonefish, parrotfish, and the odd mandarinfish. In the deeper, steeper areas black corals are common.
We can usually get at least one good drift dive per day at Kontiki. Visibility ranges from 10-30 meters. Kontiki is another one of our choice areas to conduct student diver training because it has something for everyone. It offers shallow flats where students can easily meet skill performance requirements and then swim straight over to some great diving! The Kontiki dive is particularly well-suited for those taking their PADI Open water Diver Course, but more advanced divers can get their fix by heading out to the deeper wall.
